Formed in 2017, NUBU Pharmaceuticals vision is to bring accessible, reputable and clinically effective medicinal cannabis products to the New Zealand market, and in the long term, to export New Zealand made cannabis products internationally.
NUBU Pharmaceuticals wants to produce organically grown, sustainable, medicinal cannabis products right here in New Zealand as soon as the law allows. In the meantime, NUBU will secure distribution deals to deliver high-quality medicinal cannabis products to New Zealand patients via international partners.
Delivering accessible medicinal cannabis products to New Zealanders has been the goal since the company was first proposed, and NUBU will also ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Medicinal Cannabis Scheme
Regulations to enable a Medicinal Cannabis Scheme were passed on the 18 December 2019. A Medicinal Cannabis Agency will be operational from 1 April 2020 to administer the scheme.
As part of the Election in 2020, a referendum on the Cannabis Legalisation and Control Bill will take place. This is a separate matter entirely to the Medicinal Cannabis Scheme. Learn more about the referendum on the Cannabis Legalisation and Control Bill.
