Imagine being a member of a community that is so comfortable with and confident in its neighbors that locking doors at night is viewed as unnecessary. It has been said "a locked door is only a deterrent to honest people". Today, those who don't lock their doors are viewed as irresponsible. Our culture and our community were not always this way and it need not be in the future. Integrity, honor, and truth seem in short supply today, and lack of honesty has eroded our sense of community at all social levels.
